Today is one of those days where I am so grateful when I think back to where my kitchen started and where I am now.
I may not have all the appliances I want yet and don't have all the accessories in place but it's work in progress.

I got married with the minimum, actually less than minimum, I didnt have time to build up a trousseau or plan ahead. Married on the eve of lockdown level 5, I clearly had many adventures in store for me. My kitchen started with literally 1 plate, 1 cereal bowl, 3 drinking glasses, 1 teaspoon, 2 tablespoons, 1 knife, 1 plastic plate (which was my cutting board), 2 mugs, 1 frying pan and 2 small pots. Shopping for crockery and cutlery was out of the question since it was non-essential. Our lives began with interesting growth, having to share each meal on the same plate, share cereal every morning. Making food was a challenging task some days. I was never used to cooking for just 2 people and I always had a ton of pots and pans at my disposal at my mum's place. Food like khurrie kitchen and all the sides had to be made in installments and took forever to get done. Some days I would give up on making extravagant food ideas because they needed more pots and more cutting and items I just didn't have. There was no baking cake or biscuits or trying out new recipes. I had to think of one pot wonders that just made food times amazing, recreating restaurant menus with what I had and bonding with my bestie while I maneuvered through the kitchen wars. My kitchen wasn't built on AMC or instapots. My kitchen was build through the simplicity of my love for food and innovative thinking and creativity and a bit of google. My kitchen wars rewarded our home with immense blessings, growth, love, life and happiness that has built a foundation through simplicity. And just for that I am truly grateful .
