Discovering me... a journey

When I think back to my past experiences and look at myself today, I can truly write a book on various topics but not a biography(it's so not me) more like a novel of a girl lost in her thoughts and finding her feet to discover herself.

Gosh, where does a person start when they want to discover themselves. Growing up we taught morals, values, traditions, customs and religion and then we wonder where does personality and character come from. Do these groom us into the perfect human being? Or, does experiences and mistakes fine tune us to be better humans? Who draws these standards of perfection and betterment?

But, this write up isn't about the standards of perfection, this is a 'mind boggler's thoughts' to how we discover ourselves.

What defines us and what moulds us? In my perception what defines us is completely different to what moulds us. I would draw comparison from grooming to moulding, respectively fine tuning to defining. I also perceive that both have different fruitful and beneficial benefits to self discovery.

We all have this notion we know who we are and what we expect as an outcome from life, but over time and through hardship, trauma, success and happiness we realize we don't have a 100% answer to who we are and what we expect or even our standards of living.

Over time we are moulded through our upbringing, social circles, traditions, customs and religion. We then are defined by our likes and dislikes, experiences, challenges and successes. Hope that makes sense...

Sometimes trauma and pain makes us discover hidden strength and talent, that we have never channeled before. As we heal we develop new boundaries. On the flip side, success defines our standards and we lift our personal standards higher for the outside world, challenging our social circles or relationships to meet these new higher standards. Challenges define our abilities and capabilities. These develop our drive for success, and motivates us to achieve better. It even gives rise to a more creative imagination, allowing us to think outside the box, inside the box and around the box.

Life is a journey of discovery, from day 1 we learn as we travel through life, growing day by day. We shed old skin to grow new ones, we never truly are fully discovered. We out grow social circles, relationships, beliefs and even behaviors because they no longer align with us and that isn't a bad thing at all, infact it should be embraced.

We should show ourselves gratitude and appreciation, we deserve it, for developing and changing either in to better human beings ora better version of ourselves. Everyone likes an upgrade, or a new version, you should celebrate becoming version 3.0 from a 1.2. We develop a new vibration and vibe that radiates, and attract people of the same vibration and vibe, don't ever force them to exist, let them attract naturally. Self discovery is a journey, a process that makes us beautiful and unique.

Just remember...

You glowing up,

You blooming,

You're finally doing you,

And it's beautiful to see...
