Pure Pore Cleansing

I recently purchased the Clearskin Pore & Shine Control Oil-Free Mattifying range from Avon, at the end of October. The set comprised of a Charcoal soap bar, Charcoal mask and a mattifying moisturizer, for R149-99. I put it to the test and put review together to assist you in perfecting your skin care routine.

If you read my Korean noodle twisted drama post, you know all too well my skin has been through the mill since lockdown, and it was a struggle to clear it up and achieve clear glowing skin. So, finding the right products to keep my skin clear, glowing and healthy is very important to me. I have suffered with adult acne, and pigmentation which was always an insecurity of mine. It took time for me to come to an understanding that my acne and pigmentation was genetic from my mum's side of the family and I needed to find products to solve and treat the problem.( Read the day to night skin routine to know more on my skin journey).

Although, nailing the perfect skin routine I still had Blackheads and clogged pores that need additional care, so this was the perfect time to test the Clearskin Pore & Shine Control Oil-Free Mattifying range from Avon to tackle my skin concerns.

These pictures were taken just after cleansing the skin with the Charcoal soap bar and a gentle exfoliation, and you can clearly see the clogged pores, blackheads and pigmentation on the skin.

It was an easy application to apply the mask to the skin, It is thick and a little goes a long way. Apply an even layer to the face and neck and leave to dry. Its advisable to do a skin test before applying it to the entire face and neck to make sure you do not have any reaction to the product. Also, do not apply to inflamed or irritable skin.

All dry and cracked, possibly my next "Halloween look", completely effortless. The bare it all to glow it up, skin care has its ups and downs and can hit a 360 at any time, as its affected by diet, hormones and stress levels, and given the year we all had our skin has taken a beating.

After rinsing the mask off my skin was softer to the touch, brighter to the naked eye and most of my pores visibly have been unclogged. I have some deep set blackheads that were not removed but they have moved to the top and I am sure with the next use it will be removed from the skin. The pigmentation is still visible but I am working on treating them as this product is not for that particular use.

I used the Clearskin Pore & Shine Control Oil-Free Mattifying moisturizer from Avon, and took these pictures late afternoon, to show the shine control of the product. The picture on the left has a flash and the picture on the right has no flash. To the naked eye my skin is visibly clearer, brighter, glowing and the shine is under control.

The Avon Clearskin Pore & Shine Control Oil-Free Mattifying range is worth the purchase and worthy of being a part of my weekly self care routine, for improved skin care and mental health.

Give it a try and put your experiences in the comment box below.
