My skin routine has many layers to it daily. My morning routine has 7 layers and my evening routine has 8 to 9 layers. Weekly I do a self care routine that includes a face exfoliation and face mask. My weekly face mask, the haldo ubtan is for hydration, brightening and overall maintenance of my skin's glow and radiance.
My skin tends to be temperamental and throw tantrums from time to time. It mostly happens when I don't drink enough water for a few days or when I over indulge late night eating or stress. My skin either breaks out with 1 or 2 pimples or my pores would clog and I would have a number of visible blackheads. These weeks my skin requires a mask of a different type, to detox and clarify the skin that will rejuvenate it as well.

What Does A Detoxifying Mask Do?
The detox face masks do more than relieve symptoms of acne. Formulated with purifying and exfoliating acids, these powerful treatment masks withdraw impurities, toxins and pollutants from deep within the pores to clarify and refine the skin.
Green Tea Detox Mask
Ingredients
◇ 2-3 green teabags
◇ 1 tbsp honey
Method
◇ Tear open the teabags and empty leaves into a bowl.
◇ Mix in honey to make a paste
◇ Apply to face and neck
◇ Leave on for 20mins then rinse off with warm water

How often should you use a detox mask? Use consistently and layer as needed. Using a face mask once, and once only, won't do you much good. But regular use can help you achieve your goals. A detox mask should only be done once every 2 weeks or once a month, as it is extracts impurities and excess oil from the skin which can dry out the skin if done too often. A warning, do not do a mask more than twice a week if needed as it will dry out your skin and break your skin barrier. After a face mask always layer your skin again to replenish its hydration and nourish it with moisture. Mask up when you must!
