Grateful beginnings Pt2

Updated: Mar 30, 2022

In my grateful post part 1, I explained how I started my kitchen and alot of comments came through, asking if I required help to setup my kitchen. I am so grateful that there are people who will go out their way to help the next person, irrespective if they know you or not.

Again I would like to say my kitchen wasn't built on AMC or instapots. My kitchen was build through the simplicity of my love for food and innovative thinking and creativity and a bit of google.

Over a year later I can look back and say my one plate, my one teaspoon and one bowl gave life to my kitchen, my home and my creativity. I have grown from that one plate to 20 more, from 1 frying pan to a few types of pans for different dishes. I have coffee cups of different styles and for different types of coffee, this just names a few of my developments within my kitchen, not to mention the collection of appliances I have acquired. The patience through lock down has given rise to immense blessings.

I am grateful for the personal growth and the development in my mindset. Had I been the person to throw tantrums and say everything is impossible I would have never learnt the lessons I learnt.

Lessons of patience, innovation, creativity, love support and understanding.

There is a saying I recently read that basically says marriage is an empty box, it only fills up with what you put into it and over the years it becomes full but it can become empty if you take and don't give back. This saying has hit home in so many ways. You can't have love unless you give some love back. Respect is earned and not just given. Trust and communication is important but once broken is not the same from that point on. So what the box looks like and what it contains depends on you and your partner. This needs a post of its own and I definitely will write one.

Today, when I lay the table for dinner I look around the kitchen and I am grateful to the Al-Mighty for what we have built and how we built it. My kitchen has rewarded our home with immense blessings, growth, love, life and happiness and we look forward to having many more to come.

Xoxo
